Water Polo at DGSRC!!

DGSRC is excited to offer competitive water polo again in the 2025 season!! Our introductory water polo program is for boys and girls ages 9 to 14 (i.e. have not started highschool yet)  Through games and activities, players will learn the basics of water polo such as treading (egg-beater), passing and shooting the ball. This program has been created to introduce our swimmers to the sport in a fun, safe, and easy-to-learn environment. Interested players should be able to swim safely across the pool and back. New To Water Polo?

Water polo is a competitive team sport played in water between two teams of seven player, with one goalkeeper.  The goal is to score the most goals by throwing the ball into the opposing team’s goal.  The team with the most goals at the end of the game wins.

**PLEASE NOTE: WATER POLO, GROUP SWIM LESSONS, PRIVATE SWIM LESSONS, DIVE LESSONS, DIVE TEAM AND SWIM TEAM,  ARE OPEN TO MEMBERS OF THE POOL ONLY.**

Team Practice Times:

  • Practices start the week of June 2nd and will end the week of July 7th
  • U 12 – Tuesday 7:30-8:30am & Wednesday 7:00pm – 8:00pm
  • U 14 – Monday 7:pm- 8:00pm & Thursday 7:30am – 8:30am

  • 6/15 – DGSRC

  • 6/22 – SCC

  • 6/28 or 6/29 RFTC

  • 7/6 – VFC

  • 7/13 – RSC

Season Cost: 

  • $125 includes team t-shirt (please indicate size in your registration)
