Tim Sullivan: President
My family and I joined DGSRC in 2022 and immediately knew it would become a core part of our social/family life for years to come. I’m excited to join the board in 2023 and look forward to helping the club continue to succeed in doing what it does best, bring endless joy and countless memories to all our members!
Bethany Marek: Vice President
My family joined the pool in 2021 and have loved the laid-back and welcoming atmosphere. I’m excited to help make the club even better and would love to hear ideas from you. You can usually find me in a comically large hat trying to avoid a sunburn at the baby pool — come say hi!
James Lombard: Treasurer
My family and I joined the club in 2022 and have enjoyed getting involved in so many aspects. To the social events, pickleball, swim lessons, and swim team, my family has enjoyed spending time with friends and meeting new ones along the way. I joined the board in the hopes of making an impact on the future of the pool, and look forward to making more great memories.
Valerie Drews: Secretary
Our family is all about staying active and connecting with others in the Downers Grove community. We’ve got two boys who keep us busy, and we love getting involved in sports and activities together. About a year ago, we joined Downers Grove Swim and Racquet, and it’s been such a perfect fit for us! It’s become a great way to create memories and stay engaged. I’m excited to join the board and help make this amazing community even better!
Jason Schad: Director of Personnel
My family and I joined the pool in 2021 and visited nearly every day. We love enjoying the time outdoors and socializing with friends and neighbors. I worked as a lifeguard at a pool club throughout high school and college and I’m excited to be part of our Board, to help our club flourish.
Linda Enzbigilis: Food Service Director
My family and I joined the club in 2024 after hearing such great things from our friends and neighbors who are existing members. Our multi-needs daughter in particular, is a true living mermaid, and it is a no-brainer that we will be lifers! The members, staff, offerings, events, and sense of family are truly a blessing to us. I joined the board as I love being involved where I can in our local community and help with the future of something we all care deeply about.
FUN FACT: I worked at both of my hometown Park Districts’ aquatics centers every summer throughout high school and college… starting on a workers’ permit in concessions, then lifeguarding, and eventually management/directing.

Our family of 7 has been DGSRC members since 2015. All 5 of our kids have been active members of the DGSRC swim team throughout the years. Two of our daughters have been life guards at the pool. We love the social and community aspects of the pool, as well as the relaxed vibe of the club. I am so grateful to be able to give back to this swim team, as it has given so much to our family. I swam locally (on another team in this league) as a kid, then through high school, and college.
Carrie Redpath: Swim Lesson Director
As a long time resident of Downers Grove, the pool has been home to me in many stages of life. Growing up we were members, and then when my husband and I had our three daughters we returned for many summers. Years later, our oldest daughter was the head swim team coach and our connection to DGSRC remained strong. Now that they are grown and two of the girls have graduated from college, I felt the urge to become involved and give back to a place that is so special to my family. As a DG58 teacher, I also love the positive impact all of the pool programs have on the children in our community and wanted to be part of something so wonderful.

Our family joined the pool in 2021 and have thoroughly enjoyed full summers of swim tea, tennis,and spending countless hours at the pool. I just think it’s the perfect place for a family with young kids and have loved all of the friendships we’ve made throughout our summers. I joined the board to become more involved and am looking forward to a summer of fun events to make the 2023 season a success!

My family joined the pool in 2022 and knew that we would be “lifers”. This year we officially moved out of the baby pool and look forward to exploring more of the pool and racquet opportunities each year. I am so grateful to be a member of the special community that has been built at DGSRC!

Colleen Halloran: Diving Lessons & Team Director
In the summer, our family can always be found by the pool. Since 2017 when the Hinsdale Hornet swim club introduced us to DGSRC, we have been thrilled to enjoy the fellowship and amenities the pool provides. Our son Sean worked at DGSRC from 2018-2023 as a lifeguard, swim coach, maintenance and inaugural season head dive coach, as well as enjoyed being a member of the swim team for many of those years. I am a lifelong resident of Downers Grove and my husband Brian and I were thrilled we could raise our family here. I have been a swim/dive mom since 2012 and I am grateful that I have the opportunity to help bring dive programming to our youngest members, as these opportunities in the past were the basis for some of my kids’ fondest memories and closest friendships.
Allison Macfarlane: Director of Membership
My family and I joined the pool in 2023 and in the few years since have loved spending our summer Friday nights with friends at DGSRC! You can find our kids at the morning group swim lessons and we look forward to the new racquet offerings coming to the club soon. I am looking forward to connecting with you all and continuing to grow our wonderful membership community!
