Celebrating Our Heritage & 70 Years in the Community in 2024
In the early 1950’s, small group of Downers Grove residents came together with a common purpose: to build a pool. They took a lot on faith – hiring an architect and buying property before having the money to pay for the construction of the pool. Their vision would eventually become a reality when the corporation was formed on February 19th, 1954, and has become what is known today as the Downers Grove Swim & Racquet Club.
Swim Programming
DGSRC offers recreational swimming, swim lessons, and swim team. Amenities include three pools, diving boards, slide, locker rooms and more.
Tennis Programming
DGSRC offers nine tennis courts – including five for lighted play – along with professional tennis lessons, tennis team and adult league. Pickleball nets are also available for use.
Community
DGSRC offers social programs for all life stages including weekday games, events, and special celebrations.
Food Service
The Dolphin Snack Shack is available for guest members, but outside snacks and drinks are permitted as well.
